Welcome to the MatSci-YAMZ demonstration and thank you for participating!
MatSci-YAMZ is a collaborative vocabulary platform that helps researchers to:
- Define a term with an appropriate example
- Comment on terms
- Vote on Terms (similar to StackOverflow)
The application helps with standardizing terminology for research and AI-applications.
STEPS for participating in the MatSci-YAMZ demonstration
- Please read through slides <link here>
- SCROLL DOWN to watch the videos (a minute each!)
- Set-up your MatSci-YAMZ profile (you need a Gmail address): https://matsci.yamz.net/
- Over the next week add 2 terms to MatSci-YAMZ that are relevant to your materials research
- MatSci-YAMZ will also require an example as part of your entry
- An AI agent will take your input and offer its own definition
- Over the next 10-12 days please comment on the “AI definitions” generated for your terms
- Optional – please consider commenting on the definitions (either human and/or AI-generated) that have been entered by one of the other users
Final DEADLINE: September 10, 2025
