During October, the MRC hosted a half-day retreat to develop a collaborative, achievable action plan that reflects the strengths and interests of those who would like to help shape the MRC. Attendees included faculty, research staff, and graduate students at CCI who are interested in metadata research and invested in the future of the MRC.
We had several group activities, including a SWOT analysis, carousel activity, and the development of a timeline for where we could see the MRC over the next 1, 3, and 5 years. Both the group exercises and also the agenda of topics generated lively and frank discussion about the potential of the MRC to promote collaboration within CCI and Drexel. A facilitator helped us all think creatively, stay within the time constraints, and encouraged everyone to participate. Lastly, the MRC sponsored a lunch where participants had the opportunity to mingle and network.
Thank you so much to everyone who participated!
