DataSAR LogoData Sharing Agreement Repository

DataSAR is an open repository of data sharing agreements used among industry, academia, government, and nonprofits. It was developed by Information Science researchers and software developers at Drexel University’s Metadata Research Center, at the College of Computing and Informatics. This project was undertaken as part of the NSF Northeast Big Data Innovation Hub data sharing initiative, A Licensing Model and Ecosystem for Data Sharing.

DataSAR Data SharingThe goal of DataSAR is to facilitate the process of sharing data. The data sharing process is notoriously prohibitive, especially when sharing sensitive data types that require complex legal agreements between the two parties. By collecting and sharing data sharing agreements openly, we hope to enable further streamlining of the data sharing process through textual analysis.
