“The Discipline of Organizing“, a collectively produced textbook, reflects an emerging discipline that draws upon the intersection library and information science, computer science, business, law, cognitive science, and other endeavors. The book presents a transdisciplinary core, with supplemental content supporting a logical “family of books,” with thousands of siblings. And, any of these siblings could be instantiated in print or as an ebook.

2017 Joint PI Meeting: NSF BIGDATA and Big Data Hubs & Spokes
IS PhD student Sam Grabus presented a poster at the NSF 2017 Joint PI Big Data Meeting, which ran from March 15th-17th in Washington D.C., hosted at the historical Omni Shoreham hotel.
The meeting was an opportunity to bring together PIs and students from all currently-funded NSF Big Data initiatives. The lightning talks and panels outlined progress on projects across all regional hubs and spokes, and identified current challenges.
